Rite Aid Update -- Please Read
So today when I went to do this deal (please read my post just prior to this one for the full details), the Razor was actually $8.99 and not $7.99. So My out of pocket for the items I listed in my other post was actually $1 and not FREE. Also, the Schick Quatro 4 count refills are actually close to $12 (you still get the $3 SCR, though), so the razor is the better deal. Sorry for the confusion, but sometimes when you get an early preview from somebody else, you have to expect that the ad may actually vary.

These are second run movies and usually start in the morning, but free isn't bad for a flick.
AMC Movies for $1 (goes to charity):

Rewards for Reading: Since all of the following are rewards for reading, you can enter the same books on each log and take them to the respective places. In other words, read one book and put it on multiple lists.
TD Bank $10 for reading 10 books:
http://www.tdbank.com/summerreading/ The way this one works is that the $10 will be deposited into a new or existing child's account. My closest TD Bank is 40 miles away, but happens to be in the same town as my mom. So I will plan to open up 3 accounts this summer on a visit to my Mom's house. I would imagine they do this every summer, so I will keep the account open for next summer too.
Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge:

Free Books for Kids at Borders (when they participate in their reading program):

Bloom and Shoppers are Tripling!!!
It is obvious that these two stores are competing for your business. Shoppers is tripling today through Sunday and Bloom is tripling Friday, May 15th - 17th. PLEASE CHECK ONLINE BEFORE YOU LEAVE TO MAKE SURE YOUR STORE IS PARTICIPATING. Here is the low down:
Shoppers: They are tripling unlimited coupons upto and including coupons with a face value of .99. THEY ARE NOT doubling $1 coupons like they normally do. I am unsure as to whether or not they will triple internet printables, so be prepared to not have these accepted. They do not give overages.
Bloom: They are tripling coupons with a face value upto and including .99. THEIR LIMIT IS 20! Now sometimes they do allow you to do more than one transaction to get around this. They do accept Internet Printables. They also sometimes give overages on coupons.
Now here are some good picks:
.75 Breyers Yogurt Swirl (Disney) = .25
.75 Uncle Bens Rice = FREE
.75 Eggo Waffles = FREE (I think you will ge overages on this at Bloom)
.75 Mahata Rice Coupon = FREE
.55 Bumble Bee Tuna (blinkie machine) = FREE (or close)
.50 Hot Pocket Paninis = .50 AT BLOOM
.75 Farm Rich Coupon (print it here) = Under $1
.60 Daisy Sour Cream = FREE (small containers)
.55 Pam Coupon = $1.35 at Shoppers
How to prepare for a triples event:
1) First of all, don't go there to stock up on anything but things you are getting for dirt cheap. If you need bananas, then get them, but don't stock up on 20 packages of toilet paper, if you don't have great coupons to match with it. I don't make this my weekly trip, but an extra trip, on which I only use coupons.
2) Go through your coupons before you leave the house and pull any that have a face value of under $1 that you think might make that item an unbelieveable steal. Put the pulled coupons into an envelope marked with the stores name.
3) If you have multiples of the same coupon, paper clip them together.
4) When you get to the store, go through your envelope and shop item by item. If the coupon will make that item free or super cheap get it. As you put items in your cart, have another envelope to put the coupons in for the items you are actually buying. Move the coupons that you are not going to use to the back of the envelope until you have gone through all of the coupons. When you get home, refile the coupons you didn't use.
5) If shopping with a child, bring something for them to do or pack a back pack. Don't forget a snack and drink for them.
6) Bring cash for when your total comes to under a couple of bucks, so that you are not fumbling to write a check.
7) Watch as they scan the coupons to make sure each one triples. It is easier to correct this when you catch it than later.

A Few Goodies!!!
I have raved about Lowes' kids clinics many times on this blog(www.lowesbuildandgrow.com). But you should go this weekend. I can't promise anything, but last year when we went for their Mother's Day and Father's Day projects, they gave us coupons for $10 off our next purchase per kid. I have 3 kids, so that is worth $30 for me. There was a minimum requirement on the coupon, but I can't remember if it was $25 or $50.
While I am on the subject, I have found multiple coupons for $5 on a $25 purchase at True Value Hardware. I have found them in magazines and news papers. Lowes and Home Depot both honor competitor's coupons. I used one just this week at Lowes.
Bloom
Again, I have raved about Bloom triples many times on my blog. My friend Angela asked the Marshall, VA store today if they would be tripling soon. The store manager pulled an ad for next week and confirmed that starting Friday, May 15th, that store will be tripling coupons. Usually when that store triples, so do the other Northern Virginia stores. So get your coupons ready and maybe order some from e-bay. But check your ad next week before you make a trip out.
Free Chocolate:
Starting on May 8th, Mars is giving away coupons for free Mars item of your choice. Go here: https://secure.realchocolate.com/

A Few Highlights this Week
Martins:
It is said that there are $1 doublers out there this week, so keep your eyes peeled. If you are really friendly, sometimes the cashiers or managers will slip you some. Remember, you have to meet their minimum order of $15 after all discounts, and milk or alcohol do not count towards the $15 minimum.
Kmart-
doubling coupons whose original face value is .75 (so they would become $1.50). In the past, they will not double internet printables, but they have been in the process of changing their coupon policies, so I am not sure about that one. They will only double 4 of the exact same coupon per transaction with a limit of 75 coupons per transaction.
Shoppers-
Some Shoppers are tripling coupons upto and including .50 and doubling coupons between .50 and $1. They do not accept internet printables, but have no limits on other coupons.
