BLOOM SUPER DOUBLES TRIP

SAVED: $72
SPENT: $.90 (yes under $1)
I basically paid tax for all of this. This haul doesn't look quite as impressive as some of my others, but the savings is still significant.
ALSO UPDATE: Harris Teeter probably is NOT having super doubles this week.

Free Eukanuba Puppy Food If you can't use it, donate the food to the animal shelter.

Refresher Course on Coupon Events

I have posted this information before, but I just wanted to help you prepare for coupon events

How to Shop a Doubles or Triples Event:
1) Paper clip together all duplicate coupons
2) Pull the coupons you think you may use and put them in a seperate envelope
3) Go through the store coupon by coupon and determine whether you think it is a good buy or not
4) Put the coupons you do not plan to use in another envelope to refile later
5) Triples is overwelming sometimes, try to only shop for bargains during this trip and not for your regular list. If I am not getting a steal, I don't get it.
6) If you are doing seperate transactions, seperate both your items in your cart and place the coupons you will use for each transaction in seperate envelopes or paper clips, so you are ready at the register
7) Bring small bills, sometimes your order will come to $1 or under
8) Pay close attention at the register as they scan your coupons. Do not get distracted during this time. It is always better to catch an error now.
9) If your coupon's barcode starts with a 5, it will triple even if it says "Do Not Double or Triple". It will NOT triple if it starts with a 9. I had coupons from 2 different stores blinkie machines last time and didn't realize that some started with a 9 and some with a 5, so check your bar codes.

BLOOM SUPER DOUBLES EVENT 9/25-9/29

We received no notice for this event. Super doubles means they will be doubling coupons with face amounts upto 1.99 (so $1.50 coupon becomes $3). I won't even be able to go until Monday. Here are some details:

Here are Bloom's basic coupon event rules. They are not as strict as Harris Teeter.

1) Bloom excepts and triples/doubles IP's (although some select Blooms have given people trouble about this)
2) Bloom will triple/double 20 coupons per day. So far, as long as you close out one transaction, you can still do another transaction with the same card on the same day and still get your coupons to triple/double. I usually just ask and noone has turned me down yet.
3) Bloom triple/double upto the product's regular price (meaning you can get overages on sale items upto their regular value)

Double Deals to get you started based on their add (there are probably many more):

--Ken's Dressing BOGO (guessing the regular price is around $3)
$1 on 1 coupons will probably give you overages on this (insert coupon)
--Digiorno $5.50
$1 insert coupons = $3.50
--Coffeemate 2 for $3.32
$1 on 2 coupon = $1.32 for 2
--Birds Eye Veggies 2 for $3
$1 insert coupon = $1 for 2

I will try to add some more as I find them, but have been busy.

Don't forget the limit on BOGO items. It is usually 4 meaning you need to breakup your transactions if you are buying more than 4 of a BOGO item.

FYI - Harris Teeter is doing Super Doubles starting Wednesday 9/30 - 10/6

A Few Odds and Ins

$5 LUVs Coupon

Get a $5 LUV's coupon here. If you can't use it, someone else you know can. Or you can give it to me. I will trade it for other coupons I can use.

Harris Teeter Triples

Harris Teeter is Tripling starting Wednesday September 16. Their rules are complex, but the savings should make several items free or pennies. They will only triple your first 20 coupons per day that are under $1 (if you have any for over a dollar, put them at the end). This is not linked by card, but by address. They will only take 2 internet printables of a kind and 3 of any other coupon of a kind. I have a $20 off $50 coupon too, so I plan to get my produce/milk for the week during the same time.

Rite Aid is offering its gift of savings again this year. Spend $100 between 9/12 - 10/17 and they will send $20 back to spend there again. This combines with Single Check Rebates and you just enter your receipts online the same way you do with Single Check Rebates. HINT: If you find receipts in the carts or parking lot, you can enter those too. No one said it has to be your receipt.
