Check Out these Kraft Promotions

$55 in Kraft Savings:

Go here and sign-up to get your $55 in Savings booklet. Part of the book is a 20 rebate for buying 20 participating Kraft items. The other $35 is in coupons. I also found these booklets in the freezer section at my Food Lion today (Thanks Fran for telling me to look there).

$25 in Kraft products Free (August 7th - August 23):

This next promotion is store specific and the only store in my area that is included is Shopper's Food Warehouse. However, to get $25 worth of free Food, I probably will make a trip there. The way it works is when you buy $25 worth of participating items, a $5 coupon off your next purchase will print at the register and a $20 rebate form will print at the register (then you have to mail in the form and your receipt for reimbursement). Since Shoppers is a drive for me, I will do a second transaction to spend my $5 on my next purchase for items I need. Here are the details.

Food Lion Shopping List (7/29 - 8/4)

Sorry this post is squashed together. I have tried to edit it 3 times to put space between each item and for some reason, it is not allowing me this morning.
Here's my Food Lion list this week:
1) Deli Turkey Breast is BOGO, regular price is $5.49, get 2 lbs = Regular price $10.98, sale price is $5.49 - $3/$10 Deli Coupon found here = $2.49 for 2lbs. When Food Lion has coupons like this, the $10 amount is pre-mvp price.
2) FL Milk $1.99, after using this coupon (which is actually good on anything with a guiding stars rating (is basically anything with a nutritional value)), that purchase counts towards my buy 6 gallons, get one free.
3) Use the Home 360 Coupon found here under the title FL Private Brand FLIPs, to get free tissues. I know this will be popular for back to school, but please don't buy them all before I get there.
--Use these coupons for the below deals. Remember to select the number of prints you need the very first time you pull them up. ($2 off Tide, $1 off 2 loaves of bread, $1 off Hi-C, $1 off Food Lion Oatmeal):
4) Food Lion Oatmeal, small containers (not sure of the price) - $1 coupon above.
5) Food Lion Sandwich Bread .99/each - $1 coupon above = $1 for 2 loaves
6) Ragu 45oz Jars, Sale Price $2, buy 2 = $4 - this $2 coupon = $2 - this $1 coupon = $1/2 large jars of sauce. The second coupon is in Spanish, but it scans fine and I have used it without problems.

Frugal Tip of the Day!

This year my husband and I started a garden. We enjoy raising a garden for several reasons. First it is frugal (this year will be a wash, since we had to put up a fence to keep the deer out). Also, we love to get fresh, organic vegetables from it.

Although it is too late for you to start a garden now, it is not too late to think about your springtime planting for next year. I have several flowers planted in pots around my house that I started from seeds this past March (I should have started them in February) and now is the time to harvest seeds from the flowers for next year. Seeds are found in the center of the flowers. Once the flower dies, take the seeds and put them in a bowl until they are dried out, then put them in envelopes marked with what type they are. Envelopes are better to use than ziplock bags because the air can still circulate through the envelope. You can do this with vegetable plants too, if you choose.

Do you eat Organic or Whole Foods?

My very dear friend, Tami, has pointed out that most of my posts are for products she doesn't use. I am aware of this. I know people who eat a whole foods diet and organic diet miss out on a lot of my deals. So, being the very resourceful friend that she is, she found some sites for coupons for organic products. Below are her recommendations and some others I found.

1) Mambosprouts. Go here for printable coupons and while you are there, sign-up for tri-annual coupon books sent right to your home.

2) Healthesavers. Go here for more printable coupons.

3) Earthbound Farms. Sign-up here for their annual newsletter which comes with coupons.

4) Stoneyfield Farms. Sign-up here for printable coupons.

5) Kashi. Go here and join the Kashi Community. They have sent me coupons in the past for free products sometimes.

6) Horizon Organic Milk. Go here. I am not sure what or how you get the coupons because either their site wasn't working or my computer wasn't working when I tried to load it. But at the top of the web page is a link labeled "coupons". I hope you have better luck.

7) Laura's Lean Beef. Go here and sign-up to print an instant $1 off coupon.

If there are other companies for which you buy their products, but do not see coupons, visit their website and send an e-mail asking for coupons. I always start by telling them how wonderful their product is and how much my family enjoys it. Then I explain that with the high cost of food these days, any coupons that they could provide would be greatly appreciated. I have received many coupons for free products this way. From what I understand you can do this about once a year per company.

Food Lion Steals (7/22-7-28)

Remember you can only send the Food Lion Coupons to the printer once, however, the print que will ask you how many copies you would like to print, BE SURE YOU SELECT THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU WANT the first time you print them.
I will list the new coupons first, then tell you the deals I found.
$1 on Kelloggs Cereal
$2 on Starbucks
$2 on 2 Food Lion Pasta Sauces
$2 on 3 2-liter bottles of Food Lion Soda
$1 on Food Lion Cereal
$2 on Starbucks
$2 on 2 Ragu Pasta Sauces
$2 on 3 2 liter bottles of Food Lion Soda
Coupon Set #3, expire 8/25
(I have posted these before, but you need these for again)
Go here and choose FL Private Brand FLIPs for an a different FL cereal coupon. These are in pdf format, so they can be printed as many times as you want to.
Coupon Set #4, expire 7/25
Now onto the deals:
Food Lion Cereal .49 or less
There are now 2 coupons you can use for Food Lion Cereal, one from Coupon Set #2 and one from Coupon Set #3. They should both scan without beeping because they are different, however, if you get an unfriendly cashier they may not take both. Make sure you print enough of each for each transaction you will do in the next 2 weeks. Most of the cereal is $2.49, some of the Food Lion Cereal has been on sale for under $2, making this a possible money maker.
Kelloggs Cereal
Some Kelloggs Cereal is BOGO this week. I am not sure of the regular price, but if you buy 1 it shouldn't be more than about $2.25. Use the coupon from Coupon Set #3 and pay $1.25/each
Food Lion Pasta Sauce .38/each
I believe the Food Lion Pasta Sauce is regularly $1.38. Use the coupon from Coupon Set #1 and get 2 for .76.
Produce
Don't forget last week's produce coupon is still good this week. When they have a $2 off of $5 worth of produce, the $5 amount is pre-sale price. So if something is on sale for 1/2 price, you can buy $5 worth of pre-sale price amount and pay $2.50 - $2 coupon = .50. You can find it here. Here are some matchups for it:
Peaches, regularly $1.99, sale .99 - Buy 2.6 lbs = $2.60 - $2 coupon = .60
Blue Berries BOGO, regularly $3.99 - Buy 2 = $3.99 - $2 - $1.99/2
or do this:
1 Blue Berry - $1.99
.6lbs Peaches - .60 = $2.59 - $2 = .59 for all of that
Zuccini regular $1.89, sale $1.29 - Buy 2.7lbs = $3.48 - $2 = $1.48
Deli
Use the 3/10 Deli FLIP from here for the following deal:
Buy 2.75lbs of Hormel Ham (it is bogo this week)
Regular price would be $10.97, Sale Price is $5.49 - $3 coupon = $2.49 for 2.75lbs of ham!
Arm & Hamer Detergent $1.50/each
It is BOGO this week for $4.99/2. Use 2 of this coupon for $1.50/each
Free Soft Soap
It is on sale for $1 this week. Go to www.coupons.com and enter zipcode 45435 (left hand side of the screen near the top) and print 2 of the $1 off Softsoap coupons.

Free Back Pack, Free Pens, Free/Cheap Produce and more

O.k. I just got back from my vacation to Corolla, NC (northern most part of the Outer Banks). We had a great trip. I am throwing a bunch of different stuff into this post, so I can get it out and get caught up a bit.

Corrolla, NC Freebies:

While I was there I found some great freebies at the beach. Yes you heard me right, freebies. I actually was surprised because usually you go to the beach and everything costs 10 times as much (Like the $50 pizza we got our first night at the beach, that made me cringe). Anyway, I found out on Tuesdays at 10:30 and 1:30 on the beach access across from the Currituck Light house, the life guards put together a junior life guard program for 6-12 year olds. My 8 & 9 year old loved it. It was 2 hours long and they talked about sea animals, rip currents, had relay races with the life guard's floatation devices and more. At the end they were each given a bag with coupons in it. 2 of the coupons were for FREE shaved ices and 1 was a buy one get one free ice cream cone.

The other freebie I found, but didn't participate in was a free concert on Thursday evenings on the lawn next to the light house. This would actually be really nice since the sun would be setting on the sound as well.

Click here for a Big Lots 20% off coupon valid only 7/19/09
I saw a recent ad for them and was eyeing some bean bags they had for about $12/each. That would bring them down to under $10. Not too shabby if they are nice.

STAPLES (7/19-7/25) In-Store Only
--Free Backpack -- From what I understand, buy a back pack and get that amount credited back to your Staples Rewards quarterly check. If you are not a rewards customer, sign-up to become one first. Don't need a backpack? Then get one and donate it to charity (think women's shelter). There are kids out there that never get anything new. This is your chance to give them something. The limit on this is one. You may be able to signup your spouse and get another one, but I would check first and make sure that it is not one per address.

--10 Pack Mechanical Pencils - $2.99, get back $2.99 via Staples Easy Rebate, limit 1
--5 Pack Gel Pens - $4.99, get back $4.99 via Staples Easy Rebate, limit 1
--4 Pack Retractable Highlighters - $4.99, get back $4.99 via Staples Easy Rebate, limit 1

There were some other deals too, but I was focused on the Free deals. As I have said before, every week they will put out more back to school freebies. Be patient. For more information on
Staples Ease Rebates program, go here.

Food Lion Coupons:
I really don't have time for matchups since the week is more than half over, but my favorite coupon is here again $2 off $5. REMEMBER TO PRINT AS MANY COPIES AS YOU NEED WHEN THE PRINT QUE COMES UP AND ASKS HOW MANY YOU WANT. These are valid through 7/28.

$1 off Splenda
$1 off Kraft Cheese
$2 off $5 Produce
$1 off FL Soda

and here is another set

$1 on Food Lion Sweetner
$1 on Food Lion Cheese
$1 off $4 on Bakery items
$1 off FL Soda

Copy Paper for 1 cent!

I know, I know. I said I wouldn't post anymore until I got back. But Staples is having a great sale starting Sunday and ending WEDNESDAY. Go here for a $5 off $20 coupon (make sure you read the restrictions, because several things are not included) and to see the ad. They have several items for $1 which I am not sure are great bargains or not. I guess that depends on how desperate you are for those items.
But they have Copy paper for $.01, limit 2 after easy rebate. They also have Pencils for $.01 after easy rebate, limit 2.

They have other specials like buy one get one free items on the second page. Refrain from getting these now. I promise there will be more 1 cent and 1 dollar deals each week until September. Be patient.

I am sad I will miss the copy paper deal. It's a good thing I am stocked on this stuff.

CVS Highlights 7/12 - 7/19

I am using an ad scan to prepare this post. Sometimes when we view early ads, they change slightly. Please be sure to check your local ad before running out to get these deals.

This past week, my CVS did not have most of the items I wanted. Make sure if this happens to you, you get a rain check.

ECBs is basically CVS money. The best way to maximize ECBs is to use last week's ECBs to buy items that generate this week's ECBs.

SUNDAY/MONDAY & TUESDAY Only sales:

THINK BACK TO SCHOOL

Caliber or CVS 1 Subject Notebook FREE after ECBS, limit 2

Papermate Pens FREE after ECBS, limit 3

Caliber or It's Academic 5" pointed or blunt tip scissors FREE after ECBS, limit 2

Caliber or CVS Plastic or Wood Ruler FREE after ECB, limit 2

Caliber or CVS 3 Subject Notebook, .99 after ECB, limit 2

Portfolio 2 Pocket assorted colors .05, limit 10

ALL Week DEALS:

6x8 10 page Photo Book, FREE after ECBs, limit 1

Gillette Fusion Razor - .99 after ECBS and coupon from a recent insert.
There are other ecb deals that may be helpful to you, but nothing that I thought was a steal.
Now I am off to do laundry, clean up the house and pack. I probably will not post anything else until we come back next weekend, unless I see something unbelievable tomorrow. Have a great week. I know I will.

Food Lion This Week & Next Week

I will be going out of town again this weekend, so I am putting up the deals I know about at Food Lion for both this week and next week. Obviously, Food Lion will put out new coupons for next week too, that I will not be able to add to this post.

THIS WEEKS DEALS (7/8-7/14):

Food Lion will have a three day breakfast deal Friday, Saturday & Sunday. One of the items they will have on special is Maxwell House coffee for $4.99. This is an excellent price. I still have a $2 off 2 coupon from the Kraft Internet Printables from 1 month ago.

Fried Chicken Deal:

8 piece Fried Chicken $4.99
2 On the Go Bistro is BOGO (regular price is about $2.99) $2.99
1 loaf Italian Bread $1.89
Total: $9.87

Use the following coupons from this link (these coupons have been saved into pdf format, so you can print as many as you want to):
$3 Chicken Dinner and
$3 off $10 Deli (this works because the $10 is pre-sale price)
Total $3.87 for a pre-made dinner.

Deli Ham:
This must be done in a seperate transaction as the Fried Chicken deal because you need to use the $3 of $10 coupon again.

Deli Ham is BOGO. Buy 1.7lbs at $5.99 (pre-mvp price) = $10.19, half would make it $5.09 - $3 off $10 deli coupon = $2.09

Use these coupons for the below deals:
Be sure to print as many of these as you want the first time you send them to the printer because you can not go back and print them again.
$2 off 2 Kens Dressings
$1 off Food Lion Chips
$1 off Duncan Hines Cake Mix
$1 off Smart Option Chicken Salad

Ken's Dressing:
Ken's Dressing is BOGO (regular price is $2.99), use the $2 off coupon above and get 2 for .99. I had Coupons to get free Ken's dressing, so this became a $2 money maker for me. I got those for writing to the company and requesting coupons.

Duncan Hines Brownies & Duncan Hines Cupcake Mix:
Duncan Hines brownies are $1.25 this week. So with the coupon above they will be .25
Duncan Hines Cupcake Mix is $1. So FREE with the coupon above.

Food Lion Chips
$2 - $1 coupon above = $1 each

Guiding Stars Game:
Use the Guiding Stars coupon from here or play this game and get a $1 off coupon for any guiding stars product. A Guiding stars product is anything with nutritional value of 1-3 (according to Food Lion). Think eggs, milk, fruit, veggies, meat, peanuts and almost any food item.

Private Brand Coupons
Choose the FL Private Brand Coupons from here and use the Home 360 coupons for cheap or free bleach, garbage bags, napkins, alluminum foil or zipper bags. You can also get a number of Heathly Accent products cheap or free (rubbing alcohol, peroxide, floss, hand sanitizer . . .)

Next Week's Deals (7/15-7/22):
I am relying on an ad scan from North Carolina for these matchups. Therefore, please check your local ad to make sure the prices are the same.

Star Buck's Ice Cream $.50/each - This ice cream will be on sale for $2.50 and if you have the $2 off coupon from a recent insert, this will be .50/each

Deli Roast beef is on sale for $3.99 (regular price should be $6.99). If I have that regular price right, get 1.5lbs for a total of $5.99 - $3 on $10 Deli coupon from here and get it for $2.99.

I would again use the private brand coupons as described above to stock pile some more cheap/free items.

Other than that it will be hard to determine what other steals they might have when the new coupons come out.

1 Year Subscription to Field and Stream for Free

I think my husband will enjoy this one. You don't give them a credit card and I have done these in the past. They are great. It does ask you what Industry you are in (I choose Other & Homemaker) and asks your job function (I choose Service & Driver (I drive the kids to school, drs., sports, dance . . .). That was it. When the screen comes up about choosing "special offers" don't click any of them, just "continue".

Here's the link.

Free Slurpee at 7-11 on 7-11. Get it 7-11 is 7-11 Day! Anyway, as far as I know they do this every year and you do not need a coupon. It is supposedly a 7.11 oz Slurpee per customer. Before you load the kids in the car and take them to your favorite 7-11, I would call and make sure they are participating.

Martins Deals 7/5-7/11

There are a number of deals with this produce coupon this week. After you pull the coupon up left click on the image and a menu will pop up, choose "copy". Then open Microsoft Word and paste the image (you can do this by pushing control v on the keyboard). You should be able to put 4 to a page. That way you can save paper.

A few Produce Deals worth mentioning:

3 lbs of cherries = $5.07 - $2 coupon = $3.07 for 3lbs
6.4 lbs of Peaches = $5.06 - $2 coupon = $3.06
1 Watermellon and 2lbs Bananas = $5.17 - $2 coupon = $3.17

Select General Mills Cereals are 4/$6. You must buy exactly 4 to get this price.
There are a number of coupons you can use for this deal. There are some coupons on the coupon bar at the left of this post that are .55, that will double to $1. Keep in mind only the first coupon of a kind will double, so I would do something like this:

1 Multigrain Cheerios (use .55 off coupon from coupon bar to the left)
1 Reese's Puffs Cereal (use the .55 off coupon from the coupon bar to the left)
2 Chex Cereals (use 2 $1 off coupons from 6/14 inserts)

After the coupons doubled, you would pay just .50/box. You may have other coupons that would work.

Turkey Hill Ice Cream:
$2.39 - $1 on Turkey Hill Dynamic Duos from the 6/14 inserts = $1.39 each

$55 in Free coupons and More

Since I am going away again next weekend, I am going to try to give you your moneys worth this week. Here are some freebies.

Go here to order a coupon book worth $55 from Kraft/Nabisco.

Free Shape Magazine 2-year subscription here. This does not require a credit card, but it asks for a friends' name and e-mail address. I just used one of my alternate e-mail addresses. Also, it does require a short survey. I have received magazines from here before.

Free Juicy Juice 14oz water bottle or sippy cup here. I did this a couple of years ago and this time I had to use a different e-mail address. The one I received a couple of years ago did NOT have the Juicy Juice label on it. It was plain.

Free Country Bob's All Purpose Sauce here. This is available at Walmart. I haven't found it in our local grocery stores.
